The UR-77 Meteorit is a Soviet era mine clearing system introduced in 1978 , based on the extended MT-LB hull designed for the  2S1 Gvozdika. The vehicle is equipped with a detonating cord in a demining line launched by Rockets. When triggered, the explosion of the cord causes a shock that destroys or dismantles the mines along the charging line, opening a path through a minefield 6m wide and 90m long.  The system has reportedly been used in a more offensive use, to destroy line of building, in Chechenia, or Syria
