SNAR-10

The SNAR-10 J (NATO: Big Fred) is a Soviet era mobile artillery radar designed in the 70s. The SNAR-10 vehicle was an evolutionary development of the MT-LB using its chassis, fuselage and many mechanical components. The task of the SNAR-10 was to localize targets. Its radar had the ability to detect not only land targets, but also air and sea targets. The detection range for land targets was up to 16 kilometers. The vehicle was common the 1970s and 1980s, and was also used by the armed forces of other Warsaw Pact countries..
